Pacific Rim Highway - Canada Route 14
The Pacific Rim Highway runs across Vancouver Island between Highway 19 at Parksville, through Port Alberni, and to the town of Tofino.
There are long straights, lake, forest and Ocean views, and twisty sections as you drive along the Mackenzie Range. Everything you need for your driving and viewing pleasure.
The road is mostly a single lane each way and has good pavement so you should be in a position to get the most out of your drive.

Also, and this is a great plus because you will have to drive the same road twice (once in and once out), there is a whole bunch of things to see and do along the way. Whale watching, hiking trails, beaches, fishing and kayaking are just some of the things to do and see in the area.
There are several Parks in the area and if you are feeling extremly brave, Clayoquot Plateau Provincial Park is about as rugged as they come. No trails and you are warned about Bears, Wolves and Cougars eating you or your pet.
Enjoy this one and watch out for Moose!
