Pinnacles National Monument - California Route 25

When heading up California 101 you get to San Lucas - take the route 198 exit heading East (which is a great road to drive in itself) and you will soon arrive at the junction with Route 25 which heads North to Hollister past the Pinnacles National Moument.

Head North along route 25 and you will have found one of the best driving roads in the world.

And why do I say that? Because, it is 50 miles of road that will test you and your car - and there is very little traffic to spoil your pleasure.

The road is a single lane each way and can be a little rough at times - but that will not detract you from the multitude of bends, both tight and sweeping, where you can explore the performance characteristics of your car.

And as a bonus, the scenary isn't too bad either.

You will find very little traffic on the road and what there is will be doing the same as you are. You might even get to see a few surprises as it is believed that this is one of the roads used by Porsche to test their new cars!
